Raymonde de Laroche, born Elise Raymonde Deroche, was a French pilot and the first woman in the world to receive an aeroplane pilot's licence.

I've affixed and finished a paper image of a historical photograph of Raymonde de Laroche, in public domain, to jewelry weight tin.

Next, I've copper leafed the edges of the finished image. The finishing product creates a water repellant, UV resistant finish with an oil painting like look and texture.

The finished image measures about 1 1/2 inches by 1 2/3 inches.
